Procurement

Purchasing and sourcing ethically

The Procurement Function

In our business, it is essential to make full use of our centralized procurement for competitive advantage.

All our goods, services and works will be procured in an open and transparent manner that balances the Bank’s ultimate needs for economy, efficiency, equal opportunity, diversity and accountability. Our procurement practices and procedures recognize the principles of Best Value. Through working in partnership with our suppliers, we will seek to secure continuous improvement in the way our procurement is done for the benefit of the bank and the communities in which we operate.

The Bank has also adopted an approach to procurement that is consistent and enhances our core values of professionalism, integrity, ethics and teamwork.

Supplier Diversity & Inclusion

It is an initiative by the Bank to ensure we are being inclusive in our supply chain practices to suppliers of diverse backgrounds, while at the same time capitalizing on the opportunity for competitive advantage and community engagement that comes from working more closely with a broader range of supply sources, and specifically women.

Why so?

This program of integrating women entrepreneurs and producers into the Bank’s value chain is a deliberate initiative aimed at enhancement and empowerment.

By addressing the gender dimension of good corporate citizenship, the Bank plays its role in sustainable development. It also strengthens our brand recognition and customer loyalty.
